Melbourne's Fashion Festival began with David Jones' sleek runway show. The first time the retailer has incorporated international designers showcasing Joseph, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham denim. Opening the show was Jessica Gomes who flew in from New York for the festival wearing a Camilla animal and tribal print ensemble. The show produced some 70's inspired looks with flared denim and wide leg suiting. We can now breathe a sigh of relief and revel in a relaxed fit opting for something more slouchy. Monochrome and leather proved it's here to stay and the show closing honours went to Gomes and Cox in Scanlan Theodore evening wear.
