Summer has rolled around in the Southern Hemisphere so it's time to get into a new swimsuit. There's nothing more daunting than revealing your pale, winter skin in a two piece, not to mention all the prep that's gone on in the lead up to bikini season. Luckily, Maison Du Maillot have swimsuits to suit all shapes and sizes. If opting for a one piece, transition from poolside to lunch by adding some denim cutoffs or dress it up with silk blend shorts or a flowing maxi skirt. For an evening look, just add some espadrilles and chic accessories. Not only is the one piece more figure friendly, it's an extremely versatile piece to have in your wardrobe. For two piece suits opt for comfortable fabrics that flatter and don't dig in, but provide the support where you need it. We've picked out our favourites below from Maison Du Maillot with brands such as Lisa Marie Fernandez, Marysia Swim, Mara Hoffman and Solid and Striped these pieces will get you excited for Summer. Whether your heading on vacation or just planning a day trip to the beach Maison Du Maillot has you covered for more pieces visit the website here.
The latest from Giambattista Valli will see girls being girls, a collection full of feminine frills, romantic lace and soft ruched pastels. The Valli girl's opted for minimal makeup and kept hair looking natural while the clothes did the talking. Lingerie dressing ensued with ribbon trimmed lace bralettes and sheer paneled skirting that fluttered at the hemline. Billowy dresses with translucent ruffles that fell to the floor were paired with metallic ballet flats or furry thong sandals. Valli added some chunky necklaces, layered, with floral suiting and over-sized utilitarian jackets. The upcoming season looks fresh, effortlessly chic and shows versatility with the separates.

Dialing back to the brands heritage, Kookai showcased their latest collection with wearable, edgy designs.
We were swept away by romantic, flirty pieces with fitted silhouettes, ruffles and short hemlines. The colour palette remained dark in plum, black, emerald green and a soft introduction to winter white. There was an emphasis on dresses and separates with outerwear being limited to biker jackets in luxurious leather and soft wool. Short dresses with cinched waistlines and A line mini's dominated the collection. Construction and craftsmanship was what you'd expect from the brand and it was clear there was a distinctive vision, we weren't just looking at basics anymore.
After the show, we caught up with head designer Dan Vagner and asked what Fashion means to her "Fashion is an expression of one's personality and individuality, it has no boundaries. it comes from within and you are a blank canvas that only you can paint" so what part of her job is the most difficult? " Fashion has changed and the culture of the business isn't what it was 25 years ago. Fashion now is about embracing change and what women want and how they shop is so different. Trying to keep up with these changes is challenging but also very interesting" Her favourite piece from this collection? "The Evey jacket, it's so versatile and can be worn during the day with a pair of denim jeans or thrown over an evening dress at night. Well by the looks of things, this season is set to be a rather playful one. The new collection is available online and in Kookai stores now.
