With the seasonal festivities out of the way it's time to hit the reset button on your current skincare routine. We all know that a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water will help boost our skin's natural radiance, however, it doesn't stop a lifetime of sun exposure and environmental stresses breaking down skin's natural collagen. Over time the skin's appearance may appear dull and lifeless losing it's elasticity; so it's important to use anti ageing products that are nourishing and boost cell renewal to reveal a youthful, dewy complexion. Here are a few of our suggested products for the New Year.
Dermalogica Daily Superfoliant
Just add water to activate this powder formula and gently buff away dead skin cells and impurities from your skin. Gentle enough for daily use, it contains activated charcoal and red algae. With regular use this product helps fight environmental triggers known to accelerate skin ageing and reduces the appearance of uneven skin pigmentation. It's brightening and leaves skin feeling refreshed.
Bioderma Photoderm BB Cream 50+
Wearing foundation in the Summer months can be too heavy for your skin, so opt for a tinted Sunscreen instead. Bioderma Photoderm combines a light weight colour corrector with a high factor sun protection from the damaging effects of the suns harmful UVA and UVB rays. It unifies your complexion, removing redness and evening out skin tone all whilst helping protect you from premature ageing.
Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream
This medium weight, non greasy moisturiser is ideal for every day use and creates the perfect barrier to protect and moisturise your skin. Containing aloe gel and cucumber extracts it's a great balance for dry and combination skin, your skin feels immediately refreshed and hydrated after use.

Tasmania has been the Aussie State to watch in the last few years with much of the spotlight on Hobart. A trip here requires a stay at Somerset on The Pier. It's home for the next few days, while we explore what Tassie has to offer. Somerset has spacious loft style apartments with high ceilings, plush bedding and generously sized living areas that stretch out to your own private balcony. As for the view? Needless to say it's impressive. Expect boats floating on refreshingly blue waters and rolling hills in the far distance. What about the level of service? It's unparalleled with staff happy to accommodate your every request, these apartments will not disappoint.
To feel like a local take a stroll down to the Salamanca Market on Saturday mornings, grab some pastries with your morning coffee and browse the many stands with everything from fresh produce to local, hand made clothing and jewelry. Pick up some treats to enjoy back at Somerset on The Pier later in the evening.
For those who love cool culture, a visit to the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) is a must. Grab the Ferry and ride the posh pit which provides drink service and moreish canape's.
If you're feeling adventurous, hire a car and take a 3 hour drive to Cradle Mountain. The Marion's Lookout hike is just shy of 3 hours but the views from the top and along the way up are well worth the effort. On your way back stop through Launceston for a well deserved dinner before heading back to Somerset on the Pier. This hotel is quite possibly the perfect base to explore what Tasmania has to offer.
Ladies and Gentleman, Madame and Monsieur the touring Cirque Du Soleil juggernaut has rolled into town with KOOZA and it's nothing short of a circus act. The show opens with the clown, not your traditional juggler, this one brings rude humour to the stage as he invites up a few members from the audience. There's a great deal of symmetrical choreography as Contortionists manipulate their bodies in sequence with poise and grace. The show mixes theatre with thrills captivating the audience from the beginning to end. What you witness is not just a performance but playground activities such as hoola hoops and skipping raised to astonishing levels. The Wheel of Death is the main thrill, eliciting gasps from the audience as two men dangerously throw themselves on, through and over fast rotating metal wheels. There's an impressive handstand act performed on a tower of chairs where you question if the wobble is choreographed, not something you should try at home. Everything is performed faultlessly. Add a double high-wire act balancing bicycles with a trapeze and triple twists. There is no doubt you are watching some of the most skilled acrobats and performers from across the globe. The show is complete with a 6 piece live band pushing the bounds of interactive circus and a Marie- Chantale Vaillancourt designed wardrobe that comes to life where the costumes each are hand made works of art. KOOZA is now showing in Melbourne under The Grand Chapiteau until 26th March, this is one circus show not to be missed. Tickets available through Ticketek.

There's a buzz of choppers taking off and landing in the distance as a convoy of Landrovers make their way into the Resort town. It's the glamorous, gathering that is The Portsea Polo and as always, the place to be is with Peroni. This exclusive marquee hosts a prestigious guest list, it's where elite athletes can mingle with International Super Models whilst the brazen attempt jumping the fence to get in. Peroni has the prime position, a two level marquee directly in front of the action offering all the trappings; impeccable service, succulent food and premium beverages are on offer throughout the day. The marquee has a stylish Hampton's feel with nautical inspired decor, comfortable seating and Bougainvillea plants giving it that pop of colour. An impressive cheese and antipasto buffet, as well as two bars puts guests in close proximity to the Italian hospitality.
The fashion was deliberately relaxed, men opted for linen shirts and shorts whilst the women followed tradition with white lace and straw hats. Flat shoes and ankle boots took over from sky high espadrilles whilst the boys went for boat shoes, sneakers and even thongs. One things for sure, Peroni lived up to the hype and it's true Italian style with the best looking marquee, exceptional food and it's fun, party atmosphere.
